Automatic Condensate Removal Pumps - VCMA Series
Automatic condensate pumps for the removal of water dripping off air conditioner evaporative coils during the dehumidification process, or the removal of water caused by the condensing of exhaust gases from high efficiency furnaces.
Float switch controlled, these pumps turn on when approximately 2-1/4" of water collects in the tank, and automatically turn off when the tank is drained to approximately 1-1/4".

Little Giant VCC Series pumps are ideal for automatic removal of condensate from air conditioning equipment, de-humidifiers, high efficiency furnaces, condensing boilers, and other equipment where an automatic drain pump is required. Low profile housing allows for installation in those tight or limited spaces. These VCC pumps are rated for high-efficiency gas furnace applications that produce an acidic condensate.

Q. "Do all air conditioners and boilers use condensate pumps? Do I need one for my house?"
A. No, not all air conditioning units use condensate pumps. This type of pump is typically used with units installed in areas where the condensation cannot naturally drain from the air conditioner. For instance, some apartment buildings or office complexes might have an air conditioning unit installed between stories. You don't want the condensation draining out through the walls or floors and causing water damage, so a condensate pump and basin is used to collect that water and pump it to a more appropriate drainage point. If your air conditioning unit is installed on the ground, on your roof, or somewhere else where any condensation produced can drip off naturally, you don't need a condensate pump. However, if you are uncertain about where you air conditioner drains, we suggest you contact your local HVAC or plumbing professional to help you determine whether or not you need a condensate pump.
